<Rant>
We are infringing a federal law when we pirate software, music, etc.
Just as it is illegal to plagerize.
Technically we are in the wrong, yet coporations are litterally raping us with prices for cd's...... i can burn a cd for pennies (get the songs, pay $12 for 50 cd's, maybe if you feel like PAYING for the software to burn it, which i didnt)..... This is basically how the music industry does it, they pay virtually nothing for making the cd's, spend a little giving to the artist, whom already makes too much as do pro atheletes and such ($13 million a year and you want a F*cking raise?!?! i should shoot you!) The industry collects the difference for themselves.
i find it is the "morally" right thing to do to "steal" music........
its my way of protecting myself from paying $17+ at Borders or Sam Goodie. That is rape. If the cd's were $10 bucks maybe? i'd buy the damn cd...but this is too much. iTunes is getting more money than i ever paid for a real cd.
The US economy is built on Free Market.
If they (Franchises, Venders, etc etc) can find a way to monopolize prices and place them high enough to make a ton of money without the consumer finding a legal alternative, they will...
Its a fact of life that people will take advantage to get ahead.
But expect people to fight back.
Why wouldnt you?
In this case i wouldnt really call it market system, or real economic action*(see footnote thingy). Its called greed and we are fighting it.
its sad when we put people for "stealing" music in prison when there are more criminals and pedophiles running around, and we still have the most per capita number of inmates of any country in the world.
No wonder we're getting bombed..... We buy fuzzy pieces of crap called Furbies and Video Tape so much "reality TV" that we dont even see the reality anymore...
The reality on this matter is the Music Industry needs to come down off its high-horse... If prices and practices were not too greedy in selling music then yes, they have reason to persecute people, but this is unjust.
<footnote thingy>
* I didnt say it isnt fair to do what the Music Industry and all other Industries of American Economy for that matter, do. Its perfectly fair to manipulate and manuever to get ahead, you may not like it, and you may disagree, but thats the way it goes. Thats why its called Free Market system, its called life. The point i'm making is the Music Industry is trying to strong arm us into buying high-priced products. We, the consumer, are fighting something we see is straying from the norm. hence "free market".

I swear I'll know your face in the crowd
And I'll hear your voice so loud
When you're whispering...
Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger (to be stronger)
Hey unloving
I will love you
And will love you...
